Overview
Designed for ages 6 to 13
A three-day camp celebrating fiber arts. While students weave their own projects, they will learn introductory weaving terms and techniques, the history of fiber around the world including Alabama’s cotton industry, and explore the exhibition,A Beautiful Mess: Weavers & Knotters of the Vanguard. The camp is taught by fabric sculptor Joanne Staley.
This workshop is limited to 15 students, and advance registration is required.
Cost
This camp falls under the Access for All Grant; there is no registration fee, but registration is required.
Class costs will only be refunded if a program is cancelled. For any other full refund or credit, cancellations must be made no later than two weeks before the program begins. After that time a 25% administrative fee will be charged.
