Overview
Join MMFA’s Junior Executive Board (JEB) in finding the history in the present just as native Alabamian and photographer Anderson Scott did as he roamed across America, recording the ways in which 20th-century culture and society left their marks.
Scott’s book, Whistling Dixie, has served as a source of inspiration for JEB members and sparked their interest in seeing the world as Scott did, the past alive in the present. This theme can also be seen in Scott’s work currently on view in the exhibition Anderson Scott: Photographs.
JEB encourages you to look around your world to find photographic inspiration and submit an original photo based on the theme “History in the Modern World” for a chance to win a $100 gift certificate from the Museum store. For more detailed information about rules and prizes, see below.

Make sure your post is publicly visible—otherwise the Museum won’t be able to see your entry!
