Community Reflections: We Americans

The third exhibition of this series references President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s State of the Union Address (Four Freedoms) to Congress on January 6, 1941.

We invite student and adult artists to reflect on Roosevelt’s “four essential human freedoms” using portraiture of everyday people. 

Jurors welcome a variety of artistic interpretations.

The America250 Exhibition Series

2026 is the 250^th anniversary of the United States’ Declaration of Independence. This milestone aims to be more than patriotic spectacle. It’s a chance to reflect on what American has been, who we have included and left out, and how we build a more perfect union for the next 250 years.
