Wanderlust

Sights Yet Seen

March 5 through May 8, 2022

On view in the ArtWorks Corridor Gallery

Overview

The familiar phrase ‘The Road Less Traveled’ is used in poetry, philosophical musings, and even popular culture memes found on social media platforms across the globe. The Museum’s exhibition of the same name displays works of art from the collection that are interpreted by viewers as visual representations of that theme.

This student exhibition invites student artist to use the term ‘Wanderlust’, referring to a longing to travel or urge to go on a journey—to find something just beyond, as a starting point for an imaginative artwork that focuses on places we want to go, or dream about, whether real or only exist in our imaginations. This is a fun opportunity for students to really use their imagination and work their creative muscles to create something out of this world or just out of sight.
