Overview
In commemorating the 60th anniversary of “Bloody Sunday” and the Selma to Montgomery March, the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts invites artists of all ages, students and adults, to reflect on this historic moment through their artwork. In conjunction with the MMFA exhibition, Selma is Now: Civil Rights Photographs by Spider Martin, the Museum invites artists to submit work that captures our history and future in social justice movements to the community exhibition, Jubilee: 60 Years of Bending Towards Justice.
Jubilee is an opportunity for local artists of all ages, student and adult, to celebrate and reflect on our past and future through art. This exhibition welcomes a variety of emotions and artistic interpretations of the theme as you consider the power of individual and collective action and the continued recognition that “the March continues.”
