Overview

This year, the exhibition includes Alabama artists’ creative depictions of the state using a variety of media such as painting, drawing, sculpture, prints, photography, digital media, and mixed media. As the exhibition title implies, the theme of this call for entries may be subject to broad interpretation.
Organizer
Organized by the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts, Montgomery, Alabama.
Submission Information
Like the adult artists, student artists are prompted to submit works inspired by the state of Alabama. A submission may use any style of art, so long as the subject is informed by Alabama’s history, culture, people, geography, or environment. The entries may be 2-D or 3-D but must not exceed 16 x 16 inches and three inches in depth. Works should be matted, but framing or wrapped acetate is not required. Canvases are acceptable. There is a limit of one entry per student. Please label each submission with the student’s name, grade, title, and school. Works may not be composed of food or edible materials. Only works that meet the size requirements will be accepted. Works submitted without a complete entry form will be ineligible.
