In this camp, teens will learn how to create a narrative piece utilizing sequential art with local artist Winfred Hawkins. During this four-day camp, students will receive an introduction to storyboarding and the art of conveying a message without words. The lesson will focus on various exercises pertaining to sequential art, such as: frame counts, flow, and expression.. Lunch will not be provided, so please bring snacks and/or lunch in a sealed container.
This workshop is limited to 15 students, and advance registration is required.
Cost
This class falls under the MMFA’s Access for All grant, providing free studio classes to all. Note: a registration fee may be required to hold your spot, but it will be refunded once you attend the class.

Fees and Refunds
Class costs will only be refunded if a program is cancelled. For any other full refund or credit, cancellations must be made no later than two weeks before the program begins. After that time a 25% administrative fee will be charged.
