Drop by the ArtWorks Interactive Gallery between 10 AM and 1 PM for creative activities inspired by the permanent collection, temporary exhibitions, and the art all around us.

This free program is appropriate for all ages but focused more for our visitors under the age of 10. No registration required, activities are on a first-come, first-served basis.

Registration is not required.

Please note, the Museum is closed Mondays.

Family Studio: Watercolor Landscapes

Participants will explore watercolor techniques to capture the season, experimenting with washes, layering, and texture to create unique works of art. Fine Arts and Flavors Winter Pop-Up

The most wonderful time of the year is just around the corner! Our Fine Arts and Flavors Pop-Up event will give visitors a chance to purchase seasonal art from a pop-up shop of local artisans, all while listening to festive music, enjoying festive cocktails, ciders, and snacks.

Tessellated Tiles (and Tasty Treats) with Tara Sartorius

Adults | Free, advanced registration required Reveal the “nature of home” with artist Tara Sartorius! This two-part workshop involves creating a 4-tile tessellated air-dry clay piece for wall display, and a short poem to go with it. Session 1: Designing and Making Participants will complete a worksheet which includes a tessellated design for their tiles and instructions for how to formulate their poem. Book Talk: The Club by Jennifer Dasal

Montgomery native Anne Goldthwaite is featured in The Club: Where American Women Artists Found Refuge in Belle Époque Paris, a recent publication by Jennifer Dasal. The Club is about those American women who found home away from home while studying and working in Paris.
