Designed for Teens and Adults
Join artist Tessa Tallakson for a two-day graphite drawing workshop in the classical style. This class is structured for visitors ages 16 and up and inspired by art in the exhibition, Art Connects. All materials and supplies will be provided.
Workshop Schedule
Day One:
Students will begin with a discussion about the importance of materials, how to sharpen a pencil to a needle point, the use of mirrors for drawing, and how to use a knitting needle to measure.
Day Two:
Students will begin with a demo on how to refine the block in, make more measurements, clean up the drawing, and clarify the shadow shapes. Finally, a step-by-step guide on how to create depth and volume in their drawings.
Cost
Note: This is a two-day workshop with limited space. Please do not register if you cannot commit to both days.
