Overview
Designed for Teens and Adults
Join artist Tessa Tallakson for a 2-day painting workshop. This class is structured for participants ages 16 and up and is inspired by art in the exhibition, Art Connects. All materials and supplies will be provided.
Workshop Schedule
Day One:
Students will begin with a demo about materials and paint mixing. The ability to mix values in paint is hugely important to developing painting skills. The class will also focus on getting a firm grasp of this skill before moving forward.
Day Two:
Students will begin with a demo on how to layer paint, thinking thick to thin. Students will also work on specifics with value gradients and ways to use different tools to create an interesting variety of marks in their paintings.
