Botanical Art Workshop: Symbolic Beauties & Meaningful Designs

Saturday, June 5 at 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM

Overview

Designed for adults

This return of the MMFA’s botanical art series offers participants access to an engaging, pre-recorded lesson led by floral artist and enthusiast Laura Bocquin, as well as the opportunity to engage live and receive feedback during a virtual workshop.

The pre-recorded lesson will be available one week prior to the workshop and will include a brief introduction to the history of plant symbolism followed by step-by-step instructions on creating a botanical design that both looks beautiful and speaks a hidden message.

During the two-hour virtual workshop, participants can receive feedback on works they’ve made inspired by the lesson, as well as work in the moment as Laura creates another artwork live.
