Overview
This monthly livestream is an evolution of the Museum’s Botanical Art Workshop that traditionally takes place in the John and Joyce Caddell Sculpture Garden. Through the MMFA’s Instagram account, Assistant Curator of Education Laura Bocquin shares the basics of botanical art that you can accomplish in your own backyard.
This Class
Highlighting a southern sign of fall, October’s Backyard Botanical Art will explore drawing then painting the “spider lilies” (lycoris radiata) that always pop up just as seasons begin to change.
Materials: Watercolor paper, 3M painters tape, pencil and eraser, watercolor paints and paint brushes, water cup, and paper towel
