I, Juan de Pareja
A Newbury Winner from the 1960s, this novel is told through the eyes of Juan de Pareja, an enslaved artist who worked with the painter Diego Velázquez at the 17th-century Spanish court. The discussion will be hosted by Elisabeth Palmer, MMFA Assistant Curator of Education.
In preparation for the discussion, Elisabeth has put together a set of questions to consider while reading and respond to prior to the event on Wednesday, October 14.
