Artist in Action and Gallery Talk with Debra Eubanks Riffe

Saturday, July 22 at 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM

Overview

Designed for adults

Debra Eubanks Riffe, 45th Montgomery Art Guild Featured Artist, will present an artist talk through the Who Will Keep the Memories exhibition. Afterwards, she will lead a workshop on the relief printmaking process using linoleum blocks. In this basic course, participants will use tools to carefully cut away the areas that are not to be printed, leaving behind a raised surface of lines and shapes. The surface of the block is then inked and printed. This workshop is limited to 15 students, and advance registration is required.

Please note: Printmaking is a physically demanding art process. Individuals SHOULD NOT participate if they have experienced pain or inflammation in their rotator cuff, shoulder, forearm or wrist or any ongoing carpal tunnel issues.
