Art Crime and the FBI’s Real-Life “Indiana Jones”

Wednesday, September 2 at 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM

Overview

Join the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts for an evening with Robert K. Wittman, the founder of the FBI’s National Art Crime Team and the man behind some of the most significant cultural property recoveries in history.

In this captivating lecture, Wittman will pull back the curtain on the multi-billion dollar world of art theft and international fraud. Drawing from his career as an undercover agent, he will share the inside stories of high-stakes investigations that led to the recovery of stolen masterpieces—from the gold armor of an ancient Peruvian King to the original manuscript of the Bill of Rights.

The presentation is free to the public. Following the presentation, there will be a members-only reception and a book signing featuring Wittman’s international bestsellers, Priceless and The Devil’s Diary.

In partnership with New South Books.
