Art After Five: Pieces of History

Join Museum Director Angie Dodson, artist Nell Gottlieb, and Assistant Professor of History at Auburn University Dr. Elijah Gaddis for a tour of Walk Humbly and discussion on objects and identity, interpreting material culture, and reparative narratives. Guests are also invited to bring a small work of art or another artifact that speaks to their history—inspired by the companion exhibition, Pieces of History: Decorative Arts of the Gulf South. This event will begin with a performance by students from Montgomery’s premier dance school, SQAD.
