Tales for Tots

Overview

Join us in the galleries for this monthly program that helps develop early learning and fine motor skills through storytelling and a simple craft in the galleries. Tots and their caregivers will enjoy a fun interactive story and create a make-and-take art project!

This program is free and suitable for ages 2 to 5 with an adult caregiver. No reservation required.

Use your imagination as we look at landscapes and hear a story about a funny little hummingbird in Little Green by Keith Baker.

Wednesday, July 17

Enjoy a beautiful story about flowers by Sara Gillingham and Lorena Siminovich and create a colorful tissue paper flower in the Museum’s galleries.

Sitting in front of Severin Roesen’s Still Life with Mixed Flowers and Bird’s Nest, we will read Ten Little Ladybugs by Melanie Gerth and then create a ladybug paper collage to take home.

Listen to a story about by renowned children’s book author and illustrator Eric Carle below our Blue Dog painting by George Rodrigue in ArtWorks and then create your own work of art project to take home.
