You and your child (ages 3 to 5) will enjoy learning the fundamentals of art together while creating wonderful works of art that you can take home.

This new class combines storybooks with art-making for our littlest artists, ages 3 to 5, and their caregivers. Participants will listen to various stories, then create beautiful artworks that connect art basics to sight-words and sounds.

Calling all students ages 6 to 12! This new studio class fuses storybooks with art-making. Participants will read and discuss an art-based storybook, then create exciting artworks inspired by the book.

Printmaking for Adults

Alabama artist Darius Hill will lead a two-day printmaking workshop exploring various methods using different tools and techniques. Inspired by the works of the Harlem Renaissance and other significant printmakers, participants will get a hands-on lesson in printmaking and painting with the artist who was featured in the MMFA’s earlier exhibition Uncommon Territory: Contemporary Art in Alabama. Most supplies will be provided, a list of other supplies will be given to those who register. A box lunch is available for purchase from Cafe M for Saturday’s class.

Fees and Refunds

The tuition cost will be refunded if a class is canceled. For a full refund or credit, cancellations must be made no later than two weeks before the program begins. After that time a 25% administrative fee will be charged.
