Learning Through Art: Opening Reception
5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

This corridor exhibition will feature the artwork of 75 third grade students from the Wares Ferry Road Elementary School, who have been a part of the Museum’s Artist in Residence Program this year. Their drawings, paintings, sculpture, mosaic tiles, and mixed media works of art were created from September 2013 – May 2014 during weekly art classes held at the school, and were inspired by works of art from the Museum’s permanent collection.

Opening reception and student recognition: Thursday, May 22, 2014: 5:30 P.M.

The Learning Through Art program was initiated through funding assistance provided by a Hearst Foundations grant.
